<p>This tour deals with the history of the building. Built in the 1970s in the modernist style of the GDR, the former terrace restaurant is a place laden with different memories.<br />
After its closure in 2000, vacancy and decline followed until 2018 when a debate about the fate of the building flared up again, ultimately leading to its reopening as an exhibition space.&nbsp;<br />
The tour offers insight into the creation of the restaurant, the time of the vacancy, the transformation into an exhibition space, and the interior design, as well as interventions and artworks in and around the building.</p>


<h3>Letzter Sonntag im Monat<br />
Um 15&nbsp;Uhr&nbsp;</h3>

<p>Der Rundgang beschäftigt sich mit der Geschichte des Hauses. Erbaut in den 1970er Jahren im modernistischen Stil der DDR, ist das ehemalige Terrassenrestaurant ein Ort verschiedener Erinnerungen. Nach der Schließung im Jahr 2000 folgten Leerstand und Verfall, bis 2018 die Debatte um das Schicksal des Gebäudes wieder aufflammte und schließlich zu seiner Wiedereröffnung als Kunsthaus führte. Die Führung gibt Einblicke in die Entstehung des Restaurants, die Zeit des Leerstands, den Umbau zu einem Ausstellungshaus, die Innengestaltung sowie in die Interventionen und Kunstwerke am Bau.</p>
