The base layer of the "Collective painting" that will continue to evolve throughout the duration of the exhibition on the terrace of DAS MINSK is formed by canvases filled with drawings and marks made by communities across Germany. These drawing sessions form part of an ongoing project that Murillo refers to as Social mapping.  Since 2024, Oscar Murillo has been inviting people of all ages to take part in open drawing sessions held on the streets, in sports grounds and art spaces all around the world as a means of community-building.

The opening of the exhibition “Collective Osmosis” at DAS MINSK on March 14, 2026, marked the launch of a nationwide Social mapping project. Institutions and communities across Germany were invited to host communal drawing sessions on large-format canvases over the course of the exhibition. The resulting canvases are sent back to DAS MINSK, turning the museum into a site of national and international exchange.
