To accompany the current exhibition Soft Power, a textile work will be knitted collectively to transform the foyer of DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam. The distinctive color scheme of DAS MINSK’s Bollhagen tiles is adopted and enhanced by integrating a collaborative textile production into the spiral staircase. Anyone interested is welcome to join the interactive project on the dates mentioned.
All participants will first have the opportunity to explore the exhibition Soft Power before coming together to knit at the workshop table in the foyer. Experienced knitters Juliane Tief and Petra Rüberg will lead the group in transforming DAS MINSK’s foyer in collaboration with other knitters from Knit Knit Berlin.
The knitting circle is aimed at participants with basic understanding of the fluid knit one, purl one technique.
Knitting needles and wool for needle size 8 are available. Participants can also bring their own circular knitting needles (size 8 or 9). Drinks and food will be available for purchase at Café Hedwig during the knitting circle.
Note: The ticket price includes a visit to the exhibition as well as knitting material.
