Guided Tours and Workshops for School Classes

Grade level 5-6

On request

Specially developed for school classes, the workshops invite students not only to view works of art, but also to develop new approaches to art and culture through creative activities and joint reflection. The acts of perceiving, creating, and reflecting form the foundation of all the workshops, which intend to accompany the students in their aesthetic and artistic education process.

Experienced art educators guide them through the exhibition, which is individually tailored to the age and curriculum of each group. Afterwards, practical design phases and discussion rounds offer the opportunity to deepen what they have seen and contribute their own perspectives.

The formats are flexible and can be adapted to suit the needs of the class and the subjects being taught.

Individual agreements on topics, methods, and areas of focus can be tailored to suit specific needs.

For school classes DAS MINSK opens at 9 AM on weekdays (except Tuesdays)!

Percent for Art – Recognizing Patterns

As part of a guided tour, the students explore the architecture and art on DAS MINSK’s building. Together, they look at the shapes, colors, and patterns used and examine their effect. In doing so, they learn how architecture and art are connected and what messages they can convey.

In the subsequent workshop, students channel the inspiration from what they have seen during the guided tour to create their own designs for works of art on buildings. Using high-quality paper and a range of pencils with varying degrees of hardness, they create their own artworks inspired by the patterns and shapes they have discovered. They experiment with lines, shading, and textures to consider how to best realize their own ideas.

At the end of the workshop, the participants present their work and discuss their design processes and inspirations.
